The main point of this post is obvious, but often overlooked.
There’s a lot of talk about individuality, but how many people believe that?
When we hear about the noteworthy achievements of others, we automatically make comparisons, diminishing our accomplishments and wishing we could have done better or made a bigger splash. Ultimately we become frustrated, stifling our initiative.
Now let’s make a positive shift.
We cannot reverse outcomes or spontaneously change who we are. In fact, there’s a deeper truth. We’re validated by our personal experiences; you can never be another person, just as some else cannot be you.
Stop wishing for the impossible and start maximizing your talents to create a life congruent with your temperament.
Let others do their thing (who cares), while you do yours (a priority).
Give 100% to your endeavors and make that good enough. Embrace the process and assess the results.
Also, keep a solid frame and holdfast to your character. If your frame is unshakeable, no one can undermine your truth, which is the epitome of self-definition.
Later,
Gary
