Simpin’ Gone Wrong, Captain To The Rescue

Recently, in my uptown community, a guy I know nearly got taken out by domestic violence.

Flashed across all forms of media, the results of the conflict left two people dead: the perpetrator and his estranged wife’s sister.

In the carnage’s midst, the dude I know engaged in a death struggle with the deranged husband, until the police arrived neutralizing the suspect

Fortunately, my acquaintance survived, though suffering from serious knife wounds. The intended victim, the wife, was unharmed.

Instantly, rumors started flying. 

News accounts stated the guy I know was seeing the married woman, cooking for her and her sister when the husband struck. The confrontation resulted from the husband following his wife to dude’s apartment, leaving the sister and spouse as fatalities.

It’s a tragic situation, but alas, all too common. 

There were so many red flags in this case, it looked like an independence day parade. 

The guy I know was a captain/simp for messing with an unavailable female and being forced to save her life by saving his own. 

Never mess with a woman that’s married or has a man. No matter what she tells you, the relationship could very well mean everything to her man, making you vulnerable to whichever way the emotional winds blow. 

There are too many women out here for you to worry about one that’s involved. Therefore, you must be clear about what you want and take action in your best interest. 

Putting yourself first starts with your thinking. Don’t idolize anyone or thing. This must be an absolute. Never forget whatever you love can destroy you.

Approach every person and situation with a critical eye. Never take things for granted. Circumstances can change in a flash, especially when you least expect them too.

Create a scale of priorities and use it to measure every aspect of your life. Be truthful about how you feel. If you lie to yourself, your doom is certain.

Gain control over your desires. Just because you want something doesn’t mean you need it. Become selective. It’s easy to set up someone based on their needs or fetishes. Don’t go out the naïve way, as a pawn in someone else’s game.  

This is no joke.

Put everything on pause for a minute and hear me.

Think about it. What can a woman really do for you? What’s she bringing to the relationship besides sex? 

If you’re focused on your goals, dedicated and disciplined with a plan, you’re naturally more discerning and can partner with a woman serious about bettering herself and supporting your ambitions. But your mind has to be open to select a woman qualified to meet your standards.

Elevate your game by turning up the heat on your ambitions. Getting between a woman’s legs will not change your fortunes. Nurturing your talents, goals, planning and unrelenting effort are your tools for success. 

Otherwise, you’ll languish in mediocrity, checking for trouble, which is all too easy to find.
