Dirty Work

Deep on my grind, clarity reveals itself.
It’s easy to want, but are you willing to give? I’m talking about risking everything, putting your very existence in jeopardy to reach a goal?
For me, observation reveals that most people are lazy, easily pacified. The gaps between desire, effort and reality are enormous.  If the objective doesn’t fit neatly within personal comfort zones, the goal is trimmed to fit less-than expectations while individual capacity is left untapped.
The key to realizing your potential is becoming. You must evolve and adjust to overcome challenges that stand in your way. What you bring makes the difference.
I hear people talk about what they want, but not what they’re willing to give. They speak as though success is objective, separate from them.
When you have a goal, or know you should be living a higher quality life, no book or group can save you. This is why “self-help” doesn’t work. It’s personal. You’ve got to feel it.
If you’re dead serious about achievement, desire is all that matters; education, status, where you think you should be, doesn’t count. You’ll have no limits (within moral reason) and do whatever you must to make your goal(s) tangible. This could mean juggling minimum wage jobs or living a minimalist lifestyle. You’ll willingly do all the work that no one wants to do, but that’s essential for success.
Getting things done isn’t easy or convenient. In fact, it can be destructive to life as you know it. But if you’re serious about what you want nothing can stop you. And after a while you’ll embrace the dirty work, because by then you’ll know that to reach your goal there’s no other way.
Later,
Gary
